Gichugu Constituency is an electoral constituency in Kenya. It is one of four constituencies in Kirinyaga District, Central Province. The constituency was established for the 1963 elections. Gichugu Constituency was recently renamed as Kirinyaga East Constituency.

Gichugu constituency in has over 80,000 registered voters and 58 Polling stations. Gichugu is a rich agricultural area with tea and coffee as the main cash crops and horticulture farming.  The constituency has been represented by Ms Martha Karua for the last 15 years since the introduction of multiparty democracy in 1992.
